Your hosts Karen & Alison look forward to extending you a warm welcome to the Blue Swallow Guest House

Ideally situated on the edge of the historic market town of Penrith, the Blue Swallow Guest House is a charming Victorian town house built in 1851.  The guest house offers 7 comfortable and well presented rooms and is within easy walking distance of the town centre, bus and railway stations.

Penrith is situated just outside the Lake District National Park, located at the crossroads of the A66 and M6 (J40). Its central location within Cumbria makes it an ideal spot from which to explore the Lake District, Eden Valley, North Pennines and Hadrian’s Wall.

The C2C cycle route passes through Penrith and the town has been designated Cumbria’s first Cycling Hub. The Blue Swallow offers walkers and cyclists drying facilities and secure cycle storage.

Thank you for the very warm welcome and excellent breakfast. I’ll recommend you.

A top base camp in the Lake District. A delight of a place after being in the hills for a long weekend. The breakfast is nice, it’s close to the town centre and the station … I would recommend and I would stay again.

Large group of 13, we took over the whole Guest House! All of our rooms were lovely, very clean, beautifully presented and had everything you could want. The Guest House was en-route for the C2C, great base to do a stage stop…. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating.

Superb welcome, storage for our bikes, use of drying facilities. Rooms were great and home made food excellent. A lot of thought had obviously been given to welcoming their guests – highly recommended.
